Photograph found in the Baranof Hotel Album (2013.14.001)

Black and white photograph of an empty dining area inside the Baranof Hotel. There are tables and chairs along the walls, but nothing occupying the space in the middle of the room. On the floor is a painted rectangle with a thick black border. Inside the rectangle, there are two sets of two white parallel lines spaced apart. Inbetween the lines is a painted circle. Inside the circle are eight stars, seven in the constellation Ursa Major, or the Big Dipper. The eighth being the North Star, Polaris. There are five tables along the wall on the proper left. Along the back wall, there are three tables. Along the proper right wall, there are three tables. The tables are covered with white table cloths, but are not set. There are three window—like mirrors seen in the room, they have drapes tied off to the side, revealing a mirror. There is a lighting fixture above, on the ceiling. Written on the bottom right corner of the photo is the number "49214" Printed on the bottom right corner of the white border surrounding the photograph is "Roger Dudley \ SEATTLE"
