A black and white photograph postcard of the Shrine Island, Alaska. In the lower, right—hand corner is the label, "Shrine island, Alaska Ordway/ Neff". The back of the postcard has a paper backing and a postcard format. Image shows road very close to the beach. Island contains shrine of St. Therese.

Shrine Island is presently the Shrine of St. Terese.
Herbert Neff, Laura Ordway's nephew, came to Juneau from Seattle in May 1937. He worked for Ordway's Photo Shop for a few years and his work is indicated by the signature of “Ordway—Neff” on various images, particularly some used for postcards.
