Description:
Black and white photo of Douglas after 1911 fire. Photo tint is aged brown. Only identifiable building is at center. "JOHN F(EUSI?) HARDWARE STORE". Many people stand about amidst devastation. Photo framed in bark brown or faded black matt with 0.5 inch gold frame. Image covered in glass. Photo backed with foam board which is held to frame with 1.0 inch wide duct tape around entire edge. Steel eye hooks and wire set into back for hanging. At bottom left, printed in white, is "DOUGLAS ALASKA SHOWING BURNED DISTRICT MAR. 9TH 1911".
