Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard frame (off white with red rear text "Color Transparency" and front logo for Perfect Photo, Inc.). The frame is labeled "View Glacier Bay Lodge 8—18—68" in handwriting. The image shows a wide body of water in the center, flanked by shores at the foreground and background. It is identical to the previous slide, but is slightly darker due to heavier cloud cover. In the foreground, there is a wide dirt beach leading to the water's edge, with trees on either side. In the center of the beach, a Grumman G—21 Goose aircraft sits, nose pointed toward the water. At far left, a dock extends into the water from the near shore. Across the water, the far shore is mountainous. The number "3" is printed in ink on the frame at the lower right, and the text "AUG68" is etched on the lower edge, possibly signifying the date of development.
