Black and white photo of floats in 1947 Fourth of July parade:
A — "Filipino Community / Auxiliary" float that won first prize. Two women and one man on float. Woman in long dress standing in back. Other woman kneeling while man is leaning against what looks like birthday cake. "Juneau, Alaska / July 4, 1947 / Lu Ek #11" on left bottom corner.
B — Small float with wooden house with American flag on pole in front. "Don't Let This Happen to You / J.F.D" on banner. "Juneau Alaska / July 4 1947 / Lu—Ek #35" on left bottom.
C — Float in shape of fishing boat. Woman with bare legs seated near bow. "COMMERCE" printed on bow. Written on back "Edna O'Connor, that Johnnie Cass married".
D — Large float with "BETA SIGNA PHI" on back. Float in front of Juneau Drug and has throng of people on both sides of street.
E — Kiwanis International float decorated with boughs. Four decorative pillars with two American flags attached at base. Above curved shelter is 'WE BUILD" possibly done with crepe paper. On back written "Sponsored Emma Nelson / Bob Fleek Photo".
F — "Rainbow" float won third prize. Large float with symbolic rainbow centered, numerous young women in long dresses seated on it.
