Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "4th of July 1955 Water—events surf—board riding. Bob Gasquan, Tommy Kelly, Bob Osterman" in handwriting. The image shows a wide swath of water, probably the Gastineau Channel, with mountains in the distant background and on the shore at the immediate left. The foreground features three men water skiing from unseen boats at right. Each is leaving significant wake in the water behind them. The mountain at left seems to have the remains on the AJ mine structures on its side. The number "20" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
