Large black and white horizontal photo of residential neighborhood with two large buildings at bottom. Street visible on proper right goes up hill. Houses and buildings situated in bottom third of photo. Rising up behind a large mountain with three streams visible.
Notes:
From Mike Blackwell: Area know as "Chicken Ridge". Large building lower proper right (built 1917) 5th St High School, building lower proper left — built 1927 was High School, now Miller (Legislative) Building. Davis houses visible. Wiggeries House is 1st one proper left at top of stairs on ridge — 7th St. Hillcrest Apartments are square building, flat roof on 8th St. Proper left edge, lower square flat roofed building, Rocovich Apartments — 6th & Harris. Possibly photo taken from Federal Building (now State Capital. Mountain in background is Mount Juneau.
