Description:
Color photograph with two firefighters carrying child on stretcher.
Color photo in landscape shows two firefighters carrying child on stretcher. Both firefighters are wearing yellow pants and jackets. Additionally, both firefighters are also wearing black helmets. The firefighter on the proper right of the photograph is wearing a jacket with a single silver stripe below the elbow on both sleeves. To the proper left of the before mentioned firefighter is the child on the stretcher. The strecher is centered in the photograph. The child is clothed in brown shoes, red socks, khaki pants, and a dark jacket. The child is strapped to the stretcher with two straps: one near his/her ankles and one across his/her hips. Behind the two firefighters and stretcher is a white vehicle which appears to have slipped down an embankment as well as other vehicles. In the proper right, top corner of the photograph, a group of four people appear to be assisting in another rescue effort. The Gastineau channel, the channel bridge, and mountains can be seen in the background.
