Black and white photograph of the ground breaking of the Juneau Cold Storage Plant. The focus of the photo captures an image of a construction area, where the cold storage plant was to be erected. There is a triangular structure (?) in the center of the construction site, made of wood. There are numerous planks of wood surrounding the structure. There are various people standing and looking at the construction site behind a railing. In the background, there are buildings and many trees seen. In front of the construction site is a walkway made of wooden planks. On the proper left and proper right of the construction site, there are buildings. The bottom of the photo contains writing in white, "Breaking Ground for The Juneau Cold Storage Plant June 2nd 1927"
