Title:
Cordelia Davis and Glacier Bay Strawberries
Date:
1913
Description:
Black and white photograph of a young woman, Cordelia Davis, at Glacier bay holding a bunch of strawberries in her right hand. She is wearing a cap, which covers a majority of her hair, as well as a colored button—up shirt with the sleeves rolled up. Cordelia is located on the proper left of the photograph, seated, looking directly over a basket of strawberries. To the direct proper right of the basket is a crate of strawberries. There are printed words on the crate, "CANDINAVIAN. G" and "JUNEAU. ALASKA." In the center of the photograph, directly in front of both the crate and basket containing strawberries is a pail, also containing strawberries. To the proper right, behind the crate of strawberries is a bucket containing flowers. Located in front of the bucket of flowers, to the direct proper right of the crate of strawberries is seemingly a dead bird. It appears that Cordelia and the strawberries are on a boat at Glacier Bay.

A printed label pasted below the photograph reads "CORDELIA DAVIS AND GLACIER BAY STRAWBERRIES, CIRCA 1913"

There is a slight tear on the upper proper right side of the photograph. There is some fading on the bottom proper left corner of the photograph. There appears to be a fingerprint left on the photograph in the upper proper left corner.

The photograph is in a wooden frame that is of brown color and gold paint detailing.
