A woman in a dark dress with diagonal ribbons on the front of her skirt. She is holding a flower in her right hand. Her left is resting on a fur. The background is of trees and a stone bridge. The bottom edge of the image is printed with "Peterson (unknown character) Bros." on the bottom left and "Juneau, Alaska" on the bottom right.
On the back: "Society belle of Juneau Alaska (Pioneer)" is written in pencil. Down the right edge is written "Kitty"
