Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (off white with yellow and red corner trim). The frame is labeled "Shrine 6—6—60" in handwriting. The image shows an exterior scene in the area of the Shrine of Saint Therese. The immediate foreground is occupied by a railing, possibly for a balcony. The railing and foreground in general are dark, as if under shading of some kind. A tree trunk is visible at the immediate left. Beyond the railing is a wide swath of water. In the distant background, a far mountainous shore can be seen, extending across the whole image. Two small islands can also be seen in the distance, closer than the farther shore. The number "14" is printed in ink on the frame at the upper left.
