Image shows a child and an elderly woman standing beneath a fruit tree. Child has his right hand on the tree trunk and is holding his grand—mother's hand with the left hand. They are standing in front of a house, which is obscured by the leaves of the tree. To proper right there are other structures including a log build cabin, rail fence and several sheds.
On the reverse is written: " Mrs Peterson and Eddy Olson on old original homestead." Old original have been struck through. There are also the numbers "643/3" written in blue.
Photo is oval in shape, cut to fit an oval frame. It is also cupped at the center.
