A — Album page, 7" x 11.25" greyish manilla paper.

B — Newspaper clipping, black and white photograph of Benny Benson presenting watch to curator of the State Museum. Caption reads: "HISTORIC WATCH PRESENTED — Gov. William A. Egan looks on as Benny Benson hands to E. L. Keithahn, curator of the Alaska State Historical Museum, the watch which the American Legion presented Benny in 1927 in recognition of his winning the contest for an official Alaska flag design. Benson, who lives in Kodiak, made a special trip to Juneau to present the watch to the State so it may become part of the historic record, available for public display to the thousands who each year visit the State Museum in the Capitol here. Benny's original flag design is already on display in the museum." Handwritten in blue ink "11—12—'63".

E — White paper envelope commemorating Alaska's statehood. Written on back in large red & blue letters: "49TH STATE OF THE UNION" with red, white, & blue map of Alaska underneath and "ALASKA" printed in lower proper right corner. Stamp in upper proper left corner of back of envelope, worth seven cents, is printed in shades of blue with map of Alaska and stars from state flag against a background of mountains; stamp reads "U.S. AIR MAIL" and "ALASKA STATEHOOD 1959". Postmarked "Juneau / Jan 3 / 9 am / 1959 / Alaska" and "FIRST DAY OF ISSUE". Handwritten in blue: "Mr. & Mrs. Floyd Dryden / Peck, Idaho / Box 3".
