Governor's House (Mansion)
Description:
Black and white photo of a three story building with six columns on the porch. At the end is a portico and a totem pole. There are several windows on the side and end of the building. A lawn is on the long side with some small trees on the porch and rock wall. The third floor has three windows along the long side with windows at the end. Two chimneys can be seen on the roof. A small fence is in the lower right corner with a tree alongside it.
Notes:
When the building was first built it was known as the Governor's House. When Ernest Gruening became Governor it was changed to the Governor's Mansion. A few years ago (1980's) it was changed back to Governor's House.
