Description:
A photographic slide in a small cardboard Kodachrome frame (brown with red trim). The frame is labeled "Juneau—Doug. Bridge from Salmon Creek 7—57" in handwriting. The image shows a wide body of water, the Gastineau Channel, facing in an unknown direction. On both sides, there are mountainous shores thick with tree growth. At the left shore, there are structures of unknown character or purpose. Toward the center of the image in the distant background, the Juneau—Douglas Bridge can be discerned. Power lines cut through the top of the image. The number "16" is printed in red ink on the frame at the upper left.
