Description:
A: Envelope to hold negatives. Labeled: "7/26/55 Keithan[sic]—Penrod Wedding".
B: Negative in horizontal view of the interior of a church, photographed from the aisle facing the front. The altar is visible, along with stained glass icons on either side, flowers, candelabras, and the railing around the raised altar area. There is a curtain draped in the background, approximately where the tabernacle should be. In front of that are a man and woman, presumably the bride and groom. Groom at right and bride at left, the bride holding a bouquet. Pews can partially be seen in the foreground.
C: Negative in horizontal view of the same interior, identical to the previous negative.
D: Negative in vertical view of the same interior, with the bride, groom, and others who appear to be the wedding party——four other men and two women, all dressed in matching suits and dresses, resepectively.
E: Negative in horizontal view of the same interior, identical to negatives "B" and "C."
F: Negative in horizontal view of the same interior, identical to negative "D."
G: Negative in horizontal view of the same interior, with the bride, groom, and one groomsman and one bridesmaid, probably the best man and maid of honor, respectively. The groomsman stands next to the groom at right and the bridesmaid next to the bride at left.
H: Negative in horizontal view of the same interior, identical to the previous negative.
I: Negative in horizontal view of the same interior, identical to negatives "B," "C," and "E."
J: Negative in horizontal view of a different interior within the church, probably the vestibule or lobby of the church. Three women stand at the center of the image, the bride at left and two others, presumably bridesmaids. Religious placards with prayers and the Christian calendar hang on the walls in the background. A lectern can be seen behind the bride.
K: Negative in vertical view of an unknown interior, with part of the wedding party, the bride and groom included, at left, with two others, a bridesmaid and a groomsman. At left there is a table with what look like gifts on it.
L: Negative in vertical view of the exterior of the church, capturing what looks like the side door. The bride and groom are exiting through the door and coming down the short row of steps. At left of the door is a sign with bulletin board, identifying it as the Church of the Holy Family. A small crowd awaits them outside. Power lines can be seen at right.
M: Negative in vertical view of the exterior of a house, with a wide patio or courtyard area in the foreground, and the structure in the background. There is overlapping siding int he structure, a tiles roof, and a chimney at top left. There are three people at the center of the image, the bride, groom, and another woman, standing behind a table and a set of three patio chairs.
N: Negative in vertical view of the church exterior. he church stands at right, its steepled roof and overlapping siding looming over the frame to the center. A set of three stained glass windows is visible on the side of the building. Under the building and toward the left of the image, there is a line of people, presumably waiting for the married couple to exit the church.
O: Negative in vertical view of the church interior during the wedding ceremony. Photographed from the rear at a low angle, the image captures the outer spectators standing in the pews, the aisle, and the bride and groom facing the altar at the distant background.
P: Negative in vertical view of the church interior, identical to the previous negative.
Q: Negative in vertical view of an exterior area, photographed from a low angle, capturing trees and two figures in the center, a man and woman, finely dressed, presumably members of the wedding party. The woman, at right, holds a bouquet at waist level.
R: Negative in vertical view of the church interior, the same from negative "J." Two women stand at the center, left of the lectern. At right is the bride, holding a bouquet at waist level. Behind her is a bridesmaid, busying herself with the veil.
S: Negative in vertical view of an unknown interior, possibly that of a private home or an event hall. The reception appears to be taking place, with members of the wedding party greeting guests as they enter.
T: Negative in vertical view of the same interior, in a wider shot. The wedding party, bride at center, is greeting guests. A mirror hangs on the rear wall at right, and under it there is what appears to be a fireplace or hearth.
U: Negative in vertical view of the interior with the head table holding the cake, plates, and utensils. The bride and groom stand behind it, feeding cake to one another.
V: Negative in vertical view of the same interior, shot from a lower angle. Furnishings such as a lamp can be seen in the background at left. The tree tier cake sits on the table, uncut. The bride and groom appear to be holding their hands near the top, perhaps about to slice it.
W: Negative in vertical view of the same interior, arranged similarly to the previous negative, except that the bride and groom look directly down at the cake, as if about to slice it.
X: Negative in vertical view of an exterior, seemingly of a private home. Captured from a low angle, the lawn occupies the foreground, while the house with its wide front and side windows and overlapping siding dominates the background. In the center of the image on the law stand the bride, groom, and a bridesmaid and groomsman.
Y: Negative in vertical view of the church interior at the end of the ceremony. Captured from a flat, low angle, the bride and groom are exiting the church arm in arm down the center aisle. Parts of the pews and spectators are visible on both sides of the aisle. Camera is positioned at the rear of the church, facing forward.
Z: Negative in vertical view of the interior of a kitchen. The bride and another woman stand on one side of a table, and a man in chef's garb on the other. The other woman is leaning over the table, inspecting what seems to be a cut of meat in unwrapped paper. The ceiling is tiled with fluorescent lighting.
AA: Negative in vertical view of of the interior of a private home or event hall. The wedding party stands behind a head table which holds the wedding cake and serving items.
BB: Negative in vertical view of the same interior, the camera having shifted right and lowered its angle. The bride and groom are cutting the wedding cake together.
CC: Negative in vertical view of an unknown interior, showing the wedding party standing in a line diagonal to the camera, greeting guests.
DD: Negative in vertical view of the church interior. The bride is being led in by an older man, presumably her father. What looks like an organ is to the left and an ornate structure, possibly a baptistry, is to the right. Behind them through double doors are windows of stained glass.
EE: Negative in vertical view of the interior of the church vestibule. The birde sits upon a cushioned bench in front of a piano. Kneeling in front of her is the older man from the previous negative. He is placing a shoe on her foot.
