Description:
A surveyor's tool called an alidade used to measure angle and degrees for surveying. Consists of a spotting scope and gauge to measure angle mounted on a metal base with 3 different leveling floats to ensure an even base. The wood case holds the alidade stationary for travel. It has a label addressed to "Mr. Eldon Pattee in Spoklane, Washington" with a zip code in the address. The box was shipped from Bureau of Mines in Denver, Colorado.
