Description Photograph of small houses and a new street. The houses continue back until they hit mountains. Below image it says "Street in Juneau." The foreground is a muddy street with stumps still evident. The closest building is a log cabin at proper left. The cabin has a large overhanging front porch.

Notes Main Street Juneau, taken from the approximate position of Front and Main Streets The third building up the left side of the street was the bakery and residence of Hi Ching, commonly known as "China Joe."
