Description:
Carved tool. Flattened knob handle (1 inch thick by 2.5 inch diameter) at upper end, tapers to point at lower end. Neck (1.125 inch diameter) just below handle. Tapers to point beginning at 7.5 inch from point. Straight grained. Clear summer and winter wood with softer winter wood showing greater wood. Knob handle shows signs of polishing by hand of user. Wood of lower 5 inches of tool (point) is roughened or worn.

From collection of Thomas S. Parke. Collected in Juneau area or northern Southest Alaska — likely found while beach combing or at abandoned forest site. 2 tools were in collection — 2nd is at Alaska State Museum.
