Description:
Slide rule made of cream colored plastic with black text. Is a "slide rule for triangle—mesh—reinforced concrete slabs" made by the American Steel & Wire Company. Slide rule contains various mathematical equations, charts, measurements and information. 2012.35.015A is the exterior sleeve of the slide rule. 2012.35.015B is the interior piece that slides within part A.
Notes:
Items are from the estate of Virginia Sutton White. The Sutton Family lived in Juneau between 1915—1920 (approximately). Virginia's father was Marion Sylvester Sutton, the architect of the Juneau Public School finished in 1920. Marion Sylvester Sutton died in 1935. Virginia Sutton White died in 1995, leaving her estate to her step—daughter, Mrs. Kalaas (wife of donor).
