A: Hand Level:
Yellow tube with glass top and bottom. Small glass "window" on side. "K+E" written on bottom.
B: Case:
Dark green leather case. Loop on back for easy carrying. Front is held closed by piece of leather. Says: "K+E".
Notes:
Used throughout the state.
Used for field surveying to map contours. The geologist uses it to stay on a particular map contour, or at a particular level above sea—level. Used when the field walking terrain in a survery.
