Description:
Rectangular shaped, gold and silicate mineral sample of native gold in quartz. The mineral sample is cream and grayish—black in color with smaller sections of tan or reddish—brown impurities.The mineral sample is uncut with jagged edges. Two sides of the mineral sample have been sliced to reveal a smooth texture which is primarily white and grayish—black in color. The remaining edges are rough with unsliced sides. A nearly straight streak runs through the length of the mineral sample on both sides. The streak is primarily white with two lines grayish—black outlining the white streak. Small gold flakes can be seen within the mineral sample.
