Description:
Wooden three—legged surveyor's traverse or "Johnson head" tripod. Adjustable (Johnson head) brass head with threaded rod for attachment of traverse board (2003.58.025). Gold adhesive label: "K & E / 5090A (?) / Made in U.S.A. / Keuffel & Esser". Metal leg tips. Buckled leather strap attached to lower leg. Top of each leg has jointed inset piece where wing nut secures leg.
