Bird Costume
A.— Headdress — Representation of a bird's head with a gold sequened beak. White feathers above the beak. Orange and black feathers rise verticle out of the top of the headress in eight (8) columns. Four feathered flaps hang off of the back of the headpiece. Two plastic resin eyes on either side of the beak. Velcro chin strap.

B — Wings — Representation of wings. Made with orange black and red feathers. Feathers cover both sides. from the neck of the object two heavy duty wires protrude. These wires are wrapped in black fabric and designed to slip over the wearers shoulders.

C — Shoulder Pads for dance costume. Basic construction consists of burlap over thin foam rubber. Burlap is trimmed with brite gold thread. Shoulders are trimmed with orange, yellow, black and red feathers.

D — Dance Costume Loin Piece. Two sections, a front and rear, designed to tie around the waste. Front piece is burlap over thin foam rubber, shaped roughly like a triangle. Designs with red hemp rope and gold paint are evident in the center of the triangle. Triangle is fringed with yellow, black and red feathers. Rear piece is covered entirely in feathers of orange, pink , yellow and black. Front and back pieces are held together with black polyester string.

Costume was used by the Filipino dancing group Alitaptap in the annual 4th of July parade.
