Victrola phonograph record with paper sleeve produced by RCA Victor Company Inc.

A: Phonograph record made of black resin with red painted center. On one side at the center is gold text reading: "VE \ Orthophonic Recording \ Victrola \ REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. M. de F. MIND. OTRADA. NO 5035, 1" de ENER 1904 [?] \ Orthophonic \ Recording \ 6642—B \ The Magic Flute — Possente numi \ (Invocation) \ (Act II) Mozart) \ Ezio Pinza \ with orchestra \ RCA Victor Compay, Inc. \ Camden, N.J. \ VE". Betweem the "Orthopedic Recording" and "Victrola" lines there is an illustration of a dog looking at the horn of a record player with text reading "HIS MASTER'S VOICE". On the other side is gold text at the center reading: "VE \ Orthophonic Recording \ Victrola \ REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. M. de F. MIND. OTRADA. NO 5035, 1" de ENER 1904 [?] \ Orthophonic \ Recording \ 6642—A \ Mignon—De son coeur jai clame \ la fievre (Berceuse) \ (Act III) (Thomas) \ Ezio Pinza \ with orchestra \ RCA Victor Compay, Inc. \ Camden, N.J. \ VE". Betweem the "Orthopedic Recording" and "Victrola" lines there is an illustration of a dog looking at the horn of a record player with text reading "HIS MASTER'S VOICE". Decorative scroll boarder designs around text on both sides.

B: Brown paper sleeve for record. Opening at top and has a circular hole at center for reading the center sections on the record. Text and illustrations are dark brown. Front has text regarding the manufacturer, information about the record and dealers. At the top center is an illustration of two couples dandcing next to a phonograph. The back has text reading: "Dance! and let the \ world's best dance \ orchestras ~ ~ ~ \ Victor orchestras! ~ \ provide the music". There is also illustrations of men playing instruments and a conductor. There is a red and white paper sticker on the back of the sleeve directly above the center hole with blue hand written text reading: "86a".
Notes:
Record from the Augustus Brown collection. Brown donated 1,500+ records to the Memorial Library. In the 1980's approximately 800—900 were purchased by donor's father.
