Description:
A — Black sou'western rain hat with cream colored flannel lining. Cotton ear flaps with self—chin strap and Clack plastic button to fasten. Hat material is oiled coated canvas. See "Documentation".
B — Round blue paper label stuck to lining give hat size.
Inscription: A — Written on lining w/ black permanent marker: "Parke"
B — Blue paper label: "7 1/4"
Notes:
Owned by Thomas S. Parke. Hat looks barely used as lining, label, earflaps and chin strap are nearly new condition. Would have been used in 1930s and 1940s, "Parke" writing in lining is that of T.S. Parke.
