Description:
Cardboard Vertical File box. The box is various shades of yellow—brown. The exterior has a printed woodgrain pattern with sporatic logos consisting of a large "C" that comes off the end of the world "and". There is a "Y" above the "and" within "C" and there is an "E" below the "and" and within the "C". The top is hinged on along one long end and lifts open. The side of the box opposite the lid's hinge folds out approximately half way down. There are two pieces of wood on the bottom inside the box for structural support. The side flap has a red sticker on the exterior side that has black text reading "156 \ IDENTIFICATION". There is a lable on the exterior side of one of the shorter ends that has black text that reads: "No 82 1/2 _____ STYLE B. \ VERTICAL TRANSFER CASE". There is additional, unreadable text at the bottom of the label. The same "C—Y—E" logo is at the top of the label. There is a black cloth loop extending from the bottom edge of the box that was used as a pull tab to help remove the box from a shelf.
Notes:
The collection is assumed to have been collection from the old AJ Generator Shed in the Last Chance Basin. The collection was on long term loan to the Alaska State Museum from the 1960—1970s until December 2013 when the Alaska State Museum dismantled their mining.

The unreadable text at the bottom of the box's label originially read: "YAWMAN AND ERBE MFG. CO. \ ROCHESTER, N.Y. \ BRANCHES: Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Pittsburg, \ Buffalo, Cleveland, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, \ THE OFFICE SPECIALTY MFG. CO., LTD., Toronto, Montreal, Winnipeg, \ Ottawa, Calgary, Vancouver,"
