Title:
Ornate metal oil lamp, "The Meteor Lamp"
Description:
A metal lamp without the glass lamp shade. It consists of two pieces. "A" is the main body and housing of the lamp. It is a round, bulbous body with a small perforated stand and the gas outlet which is very perforated and extends out from the body. There is also two knobs, one for putting in material, such as lamp oil into the body and the other knob is some kind of regulatory knob for amount of release of oil. Embossed on the body is an elaborate floral design that extends around the whole of the body. On top of the body is a label, "The Meteor Lamp". "B" is a separate piece from the rest of the lamp. It goes on top of the gas outlet and has a lot instead of a hole. This was probably the wick holder and it has come loose from the rest of the lamp.
