Description:
Solid brass tubular style lantern with tin bail and glass globe. Protecting globe is narrow brass tube secured to reservoir base, extending up 1 side of globe, across top and down opposite side. Bail attached to tube. Often referred to as railroad lantern. Embossed on circular plate above globe: "U.S. BRASS, L.W. TUBULAR".
Notes:
Found by donor in 1960s in abandoned home at Cape Fanshaw.
