Description:
A — 9.5 inch and 12.5 inch bracket lamp of embossed and cut iron in downward curving shape. Bowl to hold glass front is screwed on 1 end. Opposite end has pin that slips into:
B — Metal plate, nailed and screwed to wall. Just above pin is upward extension containing:
C — Wing nut and
D — Bolt with eye for reflector to slip into. All iron parts have been painted white.
E — 7.5 inch mercury reflector concave w/ shiny surface, metal pin on back, new.
F — 8 inch high, 3.5 inch diameter glass globe scalloped top edge, new.
G — 6 inch high, 5 inch diameter glass front, gold color metal housing with cotton wick, silver handle, new.
Inscription located on back of wall plate: STOVER MFG. CO. / FREEPORT, ILL.
On inside of bowl: "IDEAL/STOVER MGF CO."
Notes:
Lamp holder found by donor at Doc Foehe's cabin at Sneddisham after he died. Mercury reflector and kerosene lamp are new items purchased by donor for exhibit purposes. Donor painted it white.
