Description:
Light beige double layer of silk, 14—inch by 12.5—inch embroidered floral design in each corner of one side, flowers now faded pink, leaves faded green, also small faded pink butterfly in each pattern. Two—inch lace beige trim on outside diameter of silk with 1.5—inch tassels attached on outside. Embroidered floral design is inset two inches from edge of material.
Notes:
Given to Charles D. Price (father of donor) by young Japanese. He stated it was made by his sister in Japan. Shawl was given in appreciation to Price because he had taught young man to make candy, (fondant). Original colors stated to be soft green lined w/ soft pink.
