Telescoping Fishing Rod With Bait Casting Reel

Description:
A — 75 inch by 1.125 inch rod consists of 3 telescoping sections. Tip and mid sections collapse entirely into base section and handle and can be removed through hole at base of handle because screw cap at base is missing. No eyelets. Hollow, wooden handle has angled slot at upper end to insert line, which would run through core of rod and emerge at tip. Metal band divides handle which flares slightly along grip area. Chrome furrule covers juncture of rod and
handle and inscribed. Metal reel mount area below handle has stationary slot with sliding metal ring.
B — 2 .5 inch by 3 inch by 2.75 inch reel. Bait casting type consisting of central drum mounted between housing plates. Offset handle turns reel through gear. Bone spindle on handle. 2 knobs on opposite housing for adjustment. Curved metal strip at base of reel for attachment to rod. Fiber fishing line on reel.
Inscription: A — "Bristol"
"The Horton Mfg. Co. Bristol, Conn." on base of reel mount.
B — "HENDRY X" on gear housing plate.
