Description:
Jaw type animal trap. Jaws 4 inches across. Single coilspring attached to wire bail. 1.5 inches diameter release plate has all inscriptions. 0.625 inch by 4 inches base plate has 0.25 inch by 1.625 inch trap release attached to 1 end. Jaws width 0.375 inch. No teeth. Anchoring chain attached to trap with steel pin (total 16.5 inches). 1.75 inches diameter steel wire ring connected to outer end of anchoring chain. Chain of approximately 14 gauge steel wire links. 0.25 inch by 2.625 inches small iron bar attached to chain at 5 inches from trap end of chain.
Inscription: Engraved into release plate: "V" cutout in release plate.
