Jaw Type Animal Trap w/ Anchoring Chain

Description:
Coil spring leaf type animal trap with anchoring chain. Approximately 3 inches by 3 inch trap release plate. Two 1.5 inch coil springs. Trap jaws rectangular and made of 0.5 inch wide iron stock. 10 0.25 inch anchoring chain attached to trap with iron "S" hook. 1.75 inch diameter steel ring attached to opposite end of chain. 0.5 inch by 2.375 inch iron tool attached to iron ring. Chain links of approximately 14 gauge iron wire.
Inscription: Engraved on trap release plate:
"KLEFLOCK KILLER / PAT / NO. 1 / MADE IN U S A / KLEFFMAN LOCKSNARE CO / HIBBING MINN"

Collected and preserved by Thomas S. Parke. Collected in northern SE Alaska, likely from abandoned homestead, fox farm, mining property or just found in woods. Part of trap collection of T.S. Parke.
