Description:
A: 17.5 inch by 12.5 inch rectangular light brown leather pouch with top section a darker brown; held together by rivets along both edges and bottom. A single looped leather handle is attached to front and a strap passes through four metal (rectangular) loops. Rectangular white metal clasp holds 7.5 inch by 1.25 inch small brass lock (B) and an 8 inch by 0.625 inch key (C).

Notes:
The pouch was used to carry the payroll for the Perseverance Mine in Silver Bow Basin. Mrs. Ellett's father, Willam Pullen, was Chief Electrician at the Gastineau Mine/Mill and later General Manager of Alaska Electric Light & Power.
