Notes:
Stoowu Ka'a, the Tlingit name of George Dalton, a highly respected Tlingit leader, lived, at age 93 in 1990, in Hoonah, Alaska. He was a life—long commercial fisherman and very active in preserving Tlingit culture and ceremonial activities. He was R.T. Wallen's "adopted" father. He died about 1991. The artist/donor wanted his work represented in the city collection (as a result of the centennial collection purchases) and donated this work.
