Wood twin egg crate. Nail fastenings. Red stamped logos on ends of crate. Lid missing, holes on rim where lid was attached.
Inscription: "30 DOZ. EGGS/PACKED BY/WASHINGTON/CO—OPERATIVE/ASSOCIATION/EGG &/POULTRY/SEATTLE,—WASH."
Hand writing on bottom of box in crayon(?).
"EL Johnson/(character)P #6/Dabroan(?)/Vashon".
Notes:
Used as basement and attic storage boxes by Thomas Parke and Family ~1930's—1980's. Washington Cooperative Farmers Association formed 1917 and later became Western Farmers Association to provide egg and poultry marketing services. Box dates 1917<1950's.
