Description:
Ladies' blue satin, strapless, floor—length gown, is constructed in Princess style, no darts, all vertical seams. Center front and back seams (two each) have blue—ribbed fabric inserts from top of dress tapering to nothing just below waistline. Stitched on top of each ribbed insert is black nylon braid ending with 29 inches tassel. Hemline has eight triangular inserts, each covered with black lace. Zipper in left side seam. 2.0 inches "stay" in each back seam extending 7.5 inches from neckline. Dress was made by owner.
Notes:
Probably made & worn by Elizabeth Warwick as part of costume which includes 95.34.048—.051. Worn during the 1970—80's at various functions, such as Pioneers of Alaska.
