Fire hose from Douglas
Description:
A segment of fire hose with a screw—on fixture. The fixture is metal, probably brass, that is two segments, one that attaches to the fire hose and the other that has threading on the inside of the fixture which is used to screw—on to a hydrant or other water outlet. The fire hose is made of two layers, one of rubber and one of fabric and what might be asbestos or fiberglass. There is also a white strip of paint with the label, "Fire Pump House".
Notes:
If it is asbestos...handle with extreme care.
