Description:
Top of white cotton petticoat is folded inside to form casing for drawstrings which are attached on either side of front panel. At waist, front panel is 12 inches wide, each of two side panels is six inches wide; large panel comprises remainder of back. 17—inch deep ruffle formed of two layers is lower portion of petticoat. Beginning 3.5 inches below outer ruffle top are rows of tucking (horizontal, in width and sequence starting from top: one .25—inches, six .125—inches, one 1.25—inches, six .125 inches). Below tucks is nine—inch wide scalloped, gathered panel of eyelet lace. Under ruffle, gored, ungathered 4.5—inch deep with attached gathered 3.5—inch deep ruffle of same plain cotton.
