Title:
Mouse ear insulator in green—blue glass Perseverance
Description:
A aqua—green glass electrical insulator with "mouse—ears" prongs and a bowl—like base. Presumably the electrical wire would ride in between the two thick glass prongs. Embossed on the side of the base is, "Heminggray No. 2 Cable" and "Pat, May 2nd. 1893". The interior of the insulator is hallow with a series of threads for screw—on application. There is also a ring of spike—like bumps on the very bottom of the insulator.
