Canvas fragment from "PATCO" seaplane painted on one side only on orange with black stripes. Written on painted side in ink: "FROM / SEAPLANE / "PATCO" / WRECKED AT KIMSMAN / COVER, ALASKA / MARCH 2, 1935 / PLANE BROKE AWAY FROM / FLOAT. TURNED OVER / AND DRIFTED ONTO THE / BEACH…. / DURING WIND STORM" / "To Buddy Shaw(?) from Uncle Bill." Fragment consists of rectangle folded in half.
Notes:
Fragment recovered from wrecked "PATCO" by Bill Biggs, who worked at Kimsman Cover. He then gave it to his nephew, Al Shaw, donor.
