Description:
Airplane wing fragment composed of two irregularly shaped eight—sided pieces of plywood, nailed to two thin strips of wood at right angles to each other. Written on one thin strip: "TO BUDDY FROM UNCLE BILL." Written on plywood: "PART / OF WING / SEAPLANE / "PATCO" / WEEKEND AT KIMSMAN COVER / ALASKA / MARCH 2, 1935. / PLANE BROKE AWAY FROM FLOAT"
Notes:
Fragment recovered from wrecked "PACO" by Bill Biggs, who worked at Kimsman Cove. He then gave it to his nephew, Al Shaw, donor.
