Description:
Traditional Tlingit—design paddle on smaller scale for use in dance. Paddle shaft has two diagonal stripes, one green and one red. Surface has carved and painted image of an eagle (incorporates some traditional design elements). Painted black, white, green, yellow, and red. Tip is painted red with curved outline. Paddle is unvarnished. Back of paddle is without decoration.
Inscription: "EDDIE JACKSON GEN. DEL JUNEAU, ALASKA 99801" on back, just below handle, in pencil.
"Deceased Jan. 1975" in blue ink.
