Description:
Shaking table concentrator.
A — Rhombozoid, wooden table with a rubber mat over the top. Back and proper left have wooden rails built into the frame. There is an identification plate on the proper left side: "SUPER DUTY / DIAGONAL DECK CONCENTRATOR TABLE / BUILT AND PATENTS CONTROLLED EXCLUSIVELY BY / THE DEISTER CONCENTRATOR COMPANY / THE ORIGINAL DEISTER COMPANY Est 1908 / (Illegible) GLASGOW AVE, FORT WAYNE IND, USA." Next to the identification plate in white paint is the following: "8048."
B — Adjustable steel frame that the wooden table sits on top of. The steel frame rests on two wooden piers. There is General Electric AC motor, model number 5KH47AB140 attached to the proper left side of the frame. The frame has not had a permanent label attached to it.
C — Large steel concentrate collection flume tray. Triangular shaped tray. Open at the top, with a bent lip on either side where they sit down into a larger apparatus that is a part of the frame and collects concentrates as they come off the table.
D — Medium steel concentrate collection flume tray. Triangular shaped tray. Open at the top, with a bent lip on either side where they sit down into a larger apparatus that is a part of the frame and collects concentrates as they come off the table.
E — Medium steel concentrate collection flume tray. Triangular shaped tray. Open at the top, with a bent lip on either side where they sit down into a larger apparatus that is a part of the frame and collects concentrates as they come off the table.
F — Large steel concentrate collection flume tray. Triangular shaped tray. Open at the top, with a bent lip on either side where they sit down into a larger apparatus that is a part of the frame and collects concentrates as they come off the table.
G — Steel Concentrate Collection Basin. Large square metal tub with a spigot braised into one side. Two handles on opposing sides, attached to the rim. This tub was designed to sit under the concentrator and collect concentrate as it ran off of a flume tray.
H — Rinsing mechanism. Attaches to the proper right rail on the back of the table by a screw through the L—bracket. The object is a series of tubes through which water flows down a soft surgical tuve into an aluminum hard tube and out through another aluminum tube that has been drilled with many small holes so that the water comes out like a sprinkler. The tube runs parallel to the proper right side of the table.

Notes:
Object physically separated the mineral components of a crushed ore based upon the specific gravit of each component within the ore. The use of shaking or jerking tables declined as floatation processes were developed; the process is now used only rarely.
MInerals would shake off the table in the following order:
First the Slime:
1. Quartz
2. Ankerite
Second the Tailings:
3. Sphalerite
4. Pyrrhotite
Third the Middling
5. Galena
Last the Concentrate (Heaviest):
6. Gold Concentrate
Each of the trays would be set up to catch one of the 4 types of materials running off the table.
