Description:
Tan leather belt with decorative stamping. Edged with pinked black leather stitched on with red thread. Vertical belt loop of same construction is 3.5 inches wide and has initials in raised cork—backed beige letters on shield—shaped cutout. Attached to inside sides are two lengths of .5—inch wide plain—leather belt ends with buckle and holes that join in front. Back of belt has decorative cutout and raised letters on black background.

Notes:
Edward Webster was chief for the Juneau Volunteer Fire Dept. He established, along w/ Frank Bach, the first telephone link—up sometime before 1893 between Juneau & Douglas. In 1893, the Juneau—Douglas Telephone Co. was formed. It operated from his home on Telephone Hill between 1915 & 1967. He was the donor's grandfather.
