Description:
Jabot (falling ruffle worn at neck) made of white cotton net and composed of two layers; top layer being shorter and narrower. Each layer edged with woven florets (0.75 inches) and has decorative trim made of tape lace in varying lengths and shapes. Bottom layer has addition of narrow, scalloped, lace trim along upper narrower outside edge. No commercial label.
Notes:
Possibly made by Anna Snow, seamstress & mother of Crystal Snow; commerically made tape & florets were available for trims. Preserved by Jenne / Kenway families.
