Description:
Red cedar totem pole, carved and painted in traditional colors of black, red, and blue—green. Figures include, top to bottom: Raven, uncarved space, human figure with green face (Lucky Woman), Black Fish (Dog Salmon), Weasel, woman with long black hair parted in middle and second face at her left shoulder (seagull?). Totem is 88" in circumference.

Acquired by Juneau Centennial Committee. The artist is a Tlingit originally from Klukwan & now lives in Ketchikan. He was assisted in carving by Steve Brown & in painting by Dorica Jackson. The pole commemorates the Raven Clan of the Auk Tribe. See extensive documentation file.
