Woven Spruce Root Basket in Coffee Pot Shape

Description:
A — Split spruce root basket in shape of coffee pot; base and lid covered with false embroidery dyed with aniline(?) dyes in red, salmon and wheat. Lid, attached near handle, decorated with 8 triangles (4 red, 4 wheat) in circular pattern around woven raised "knob", brim of lid has 3 rows of twined spruce root in red and wheat. Base has 4 rows of embroidered triangles moving around circumference, colors of triangles alternate. Small spout opposite woven handle. Inside of pot finished in purple and green stripes alternating with natural colored bands.
B — Detached woven bail, broken at rim of pot at both points of attachment.
